Extremely powerful. (I was under the impression that Mathew Goodwin - quoted within the article- was a RW populist ? )

Ok

That’s for responding. I was just slightly perhaps taken aback that he was included in the article.

I was surprised that he was at Kent, which I would describe as a left leaning university.

It is crazy that these people remain at serious institutions. What does the Kent make of him on GB News etc.

We believe it's important to engage with and source perspectives from across the political spectrum. While we are firmly on the left, we strive to avoid being trapped in an ideological echo chamber. Citing people like Matthew Goodwin allows us to critically examine the narratives shaping contemporary politics, even when we disagree with his conclusions. Understanding opposing viewpoints helps sharpen our analysis and ensures a more robust discussion.

I absolutely love Kent University. I have only the best things to say about them since my son went there. My son has mental health issues and they were exemplary. I spoke to staff often and my son, his friends and I got the overwhelming impression that they were caring and inclusive and very much politically inline with what I think.

How Matthew Goodwin could be an easy “fit” into such an established is an anathema.
